Verdion has secured a strategic logistics site on the ecopark industrial estate, near Emstek in Lower Saxony.
The site has capacity for around 25,000 sq m of warehouse accommodation to lease, with the potential to subdivide units if needed.
Verdion’s new site offers new, high quality logistics space located directly adjacent to the A1 motorway within easy reach of Cloppenburg, Bremen, Osnabrück and other major cities in northern Germany and the Netherlands.
André Banschus, Managing Director of Verdion in Germany, said:
“Demand for space in the region is growing, with a number of blue-chip international businesses already choosing to locate logistics hubs here.
“With the draw of excellent transport links to wider Northern European markets, occupiers are capitalising on favourable business conditions to increase their distribution networks, and Emstek is an exciting new opportunity for us to do the same.”
In addition to this site, work is underway on a new 12,500 sq m hazardous goods warehouse and 750 sq m of offices for sector specialist Imperial at Niedersachsenpark near Osnabrück, while earlier this year Verdion opened a new facility close to Hamburg – a 57,000 sq m distribution centre for global dairy equipment manufacturer DeLaval.
